The artist Zion Nimni was born and raised in Safed. As a young boy he was drawn to artistic expression, and inspired as many artists before him have been by the rolling hills of the Galilee and the quaint alleyways and echoes of the past that characterize Safed's Old City and the surrounding countryside.
Tsion developed his skills and techniques over the years by attending various classes and workshops.He particularly enjoys the medium of palette knives in his work.
His Jewish themed paintings combine Kabbalistic concepts with his own fresh artistic flavor and interpretation, while his landscapes reflect his love of nature and the beautiful surroundings which have so inspired his creations.
